A warehouse of faked car spare parts bearing Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai and Honda trademarks was liquidated in the course of operational activities in Almaty city. The faked car spare parts amounted to more than 1.8 billion KZT.
The Almaty Territorial Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring of the Republic of Kazakhstan coordinated by the city prosecutor’s office has completed a pre-trial investigation against the abovementioned individuals.
It turned out that faked spare parts were packaged in branded boxes and then distributed among car markets in Kazakhstan. In total about 106 thousand faked spare parts were seized.
The case is currently being reviewed by the court. The Agency for Financial Monitoring continues work related to identification of illegal use of trademarks and to protection of businesses.
