Counterfeited Air Conditioners Worth 5 Mln KZT Seized in Almaty
Representatives of Bolotov & Partners jointly with employees of the Department of Justice of Almaty city seized a large bulk of air conditioners under Almacom trademark, which tried to be illegally offered for sale under a fake trademark.
In result of operative actions of employees of the Department of Justice and representatives of our company, counterfeited goods amounting KZT 5,253,000 were seized. Under the Article 158 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Administrative Offences a protocol was drawn up in relation to the above.
The operation to prevent illegal trade lasted 15 hours and was initiated on the basis of a complaint of the trademark owner.
It should be mentioned that during the special operation the officers of the Department of Justice encountered resistance from the inspected entity. A protocol was drawn up under the Article 462 of the Code On Administrative Offences of the Republic of Kazakhstan in respect of three persons who hindered the operation.
Currently the case materials have been forwarded to the court.
