Kazakhstan Patent Office Increases Fees for Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Appellations of Origin of Goods by 25%

We inform that from 1 July 2024 KazPatent increases almost all fees for trademarks, geographical indications and appellations of origin of goods by 25%.

Pursuant to the Order of the Director of the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 20 June 2024 №241nk: starting from 1 July 2024 the fees for expert services provided by National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be changed, in particular these changes relate to the fees for registration of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and appellations of origin of goods.

For example, the state fees will be changes for acceptance of application and examination for registration of a trademark, service mark, acceptance of application and preliminary and full examination for registration of a trademark, consideration of oppositions against registration of a designation as a trademark, geographical indication/appellation of origin of goods, preliminary search and other services.
