Participation in an international forum Anti-Counterfeiting-2022

Dear colleagues and friends!

Bolotov & Partners LLP will be a sponsor at the international forum Anti-Counterfeiting-2022, which is devoted to the issues of fighting against an illegal turnover of industrial products,  including enforcement of rights to intellectual property objects.

The Forum will take place in a State Residence of the President of Kyrgyz Republic no. 1 Ala-Archa from 26 to 28 of September 2022. Right holders, state bodies and law experts will discuss the best practice in order to develop the program of brand protection in conditions of changing technologies and increasing growth of counterfeit goods.

Our team will be represented at the Forum by Partner Zhanat Nurmagambetov. Zhanat shall make a presentation: Actual issues of trademark rights enforcement in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Rustam Abdulayev, an associate of our firm shall also participate in the Forum.

We invite our colleagues and partners as well as everyone who is interested to meet and discuss actual work issues, to take acquaintance with each other, to exchange opinions on latest trends in the field of intellectual property in Kazakhstan.

During the last 10 years the International Forum Anti-Counterfeiting has become a central discussion platform within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) where representatives of ministries and state bodies of EAEU member-states, heads of big companies and organizations, leading international experts in this field, representatives of science and society have an opportunity to discuss the issues of markets’ protection from illegal turnover of industrial products. In addition this Forum is a platform for launching a constructive dialogue and elaborating joint decisions with the aim of creating a civilized market of products and services.

The main sessions will cover the following topics:

• New trends in enforcement practice of administrative and law enforcement bodies of EAEU member-states in a fight with illegal use of intellectual property objects.
• Interaction between state bodies and right holders in order to cease distribution of counterfeit goods in new conditions of conducting business.
• The results of monitoring of law enforcement practice in EAEU member-states in the field of protection of rights to intellectual property objects for 2020-2021.
• Interception of counterfeiting as an effective tool for fighting with intellectual property rights infringements in EAEU member-states.
