Bolotov & Partners at the Kazakhstan Legal Forum 2020

Bolotov & Partners lawyers took part in the 10 Kazakhstan Legal Forum 2020, which was held on September 25, 2020 in an online format.

The forum was held in 4 parallel sections with the participation of 50+ speakers and 300+ participants. The Forum participants were lawyers from the top 300 companies of Kazakhstan and market leaders, representatives of leading law firms and the public sector.

Yuri Albertovich Bolotov moderated the session on intellectual property. This session considered issues related to the practice of protecting trademarks and measures of state support, improving legislation on intellectual property, effective strategy of RID portfolio management Legal support “from idea to launch” based on the experience of Nestlé, as well as an overview of the practice of trademark disputes in the Russian Federation.

The topics suggested were undoubtedly of interest to the audience. Questions were discussed about how the statistics of raids during the quarantine and moratorium have changed, whether there will be changes to the Presidential Resolution, which will allow inspections on allegations of violations, what can be proposed to make the anti-monopoly body work more efficiently in terms of protecting competition, and many others.
