Bolotov & Partners at the XIV International Forum Anti-Counterfeit 2026 in Astana

The XIV International Forum Anti-Counterfeit 2026 took place in Astana. Zhanat Nurmagambetov, a Partner at Bolotov & Partners participated in the forum. The event brought together leading experts, representatives of the governments of the EAEU member states, IT specialists, and major businesses.

The key topic of the forum was A Digital Economy Without Counterfeits: Trust and Transparency. It may sound complicated, however in essence, it concerns simple and important matters: how to ensure that consumers do not encounter counterfeit goods and that businesses feel protected. The organizers were the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and the International Association Anti-Counterfeit. The main topics of discussion focused on the implementation of AI technologies in the field of intellectual property, product labeling within the EAEU, the protection of intangible assets, and the transparency of e-commerce.

Zhanat Nurmagambetov had a presentation titled Liability of Marketplaces for Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights. He discussed with the audience the need to introduce an institute of information intermediaries, the choice of a liability model for marketplaces, and other related issues.

Participation in such a significant Eurasian event allows our firm to remain at the forefront of current legal practices in the field of intellectual property protection and fighting fakes.
