Online Lecture on Intellectual Property at Kazakh-American Free University

Dear colleagues and partners,

On 3 April 2024 an online lecture by Yuri Bolotov, Managing Partner of Bolotov & Partners LLP was held for Master’s and PhD students of KAFU (Kazakh-American Free University), located in Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Kazakhstan.

The lecture was devoted to both technical specialists and those studying in field of Business, Law and Teaching.

In the framework of the lecture named Simply about Complicated, examples of trademarks and answers were provided to the question Why to Register Intellectual Property? Yuri Bolotov detailed what intellectual property (IP) is, gave examples of the share of national assets in companies in different countries of the world. It was explained what are copyrights and related rights, what is industrial property, statistics on registered IP objects were given, the challenges in entering/working in the market were explained.
