Please be informed that that the meetings of the Appeal Board under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been restarted.
The meetings of the Appeal Council will be held online by means of technical communication.
We remind you that the functions of the Appeal Board are:
1) receiving objections submitted to the Ministry, forming objection materials for consideration in the Appeal Board:
– against decisions of an expert organization to refuse to register a trademark, including a refusal to grant legal protection to a trademark;
– to decisions of an expert organization to refuse registration and (or) grant the right to use an appellation of origin;
– against registration of a trademark;
– against registration and (or) granting the right to use an appellation of origin;
– against decisions of an expert organization to refuse to issue a patent for an industrial property object;
– against decisions of an expert organization to refuse to consider an application for a patent for a breeding achievement;
– for decisions of an expert organization to refuse to issue a patent for a selective achievement;
2) revision of the decisions of an expert organization against which an objection is filed.
